As a professional Change Manager, especially in extremely resistant and political environments, having one's reputation attacked comes with the job.
A few years ago I was smeared by disgruntled staff at the United Nations who "leaked" false accusations of impropriety to auditors and news blogs. As I was managing an enormous project to renew the 70-year old administrative bureaucracy, and implement historic efficiency and transparency, it came as no great surprise.
I was formally cleared of all accusations - there was nothing to find as I have always upheld the highest ethical standards in my work.
